Various plans are being implemented in
order to seek co-operation and involvement of the community
in policing.
Transparency in police functioning.
All the necessary
information, except that of confidential
nature is provided, to the citizens whenever
they demand for either under Right to
Information Act or otherwise.
Information regarding status of cognizable
and non-cognizable offences, applications,
various licenses and permits is provided as
per their demand.
A booklet containing knowledge regarding law
and its implementation is being distributed
by Sangli Dist. Police to the citizens. This
will help them to know about law, their
rights and responsibilities and in turn the
working of police force and judiciary.
